China is a big consumer of plastics, with more than 10000 recycled plastics enterprises. There are both simple crushing and processing enterprises for recycling waste plastics in family workshops and environmental protection enterprises for recycling and processing clusters. They are all over the north and south of the country, and have formed a large-scale distribution center and trading market for recycling and processing of recycled plastics, mainly in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Liaoning and other provinces with developed plastic processing industry. The market scale of recycling, processing and operation of recycled plastics is becoming larger and larger, and the annual trading volume has reached hundreds of millions or even billions of yuan. The recycled plastics industry has made great contributions to the development and utilization of waste plastics resources, environmental protection and economic benefits. However, it can not be ignored that at present, the level of waste bottle treatment and processing in China is low, and the environmental protection regulations for reducing plastic waste and recycling and reuse are missing, so that China's plastic recycling economy is still in its infancy.

In 2007, an investigation was conducted on the recycling of some domestic recycling resources. It was found that most individual recycling enterprises buy waste products from waste purchase stations for selection and crushing, and then regenerate products with low requirements on technology, quality and environmental protection for sale. Most of these factory facilities and vertical injection molding machines are very simple, the working conditions of workers are poor, they often work by hand, the air environment is seriously polluted, and there are no protective measures. The situation of the waste resource recycling industrial development zone recognized by the State Environmental Protection Administration is that most of the zone is composed of foreign-funded or joint ventures, and the recycling resources are all the wastes from domestic foreign-funded enterprises or imported from abroad, but the domestic recycling resources are not accepted on the grounds of poor quality.

Vertical injection molding machines with relatively good plants and equipment and high processing capacity in the regeneration Industrial Zone, but they are mostly reproduced according to the requirements of buyers, and the regeneration rate is not high. The unusable waste is sold to local individual recycling enterprises to earn profits. Generally speaking, when the technology of these resource waste recycling enterprises is not advanced enough, the wastewater, waste gas and residual economy have not been properly treated, and the second pollution in the reproduction process has brought equally serious harm to workers and the surrounding environment.

Although these renewable enterprises are praised as green enterprises, the actual waste treatment rate is 58.2%, and the harmless treatment rate is only 20%. It can be seen that China's recycled plastic processing industry is still at the low-end level, and it is difficult to produce high-quality recycled plastic products.
